Why is Direct Access Throughout the Process Important to the Author?

Direct Access to the Publisher

One of the things that sets Barringer Publishing apart is that our authors work directly with the publisher—not a salesperson or a customer service representative.

From your first conversation through editing, design, production, marketing, and publication, you'll have direct access to Jeff Schlesinger, Publisher of Barringer Publishing.

Why does that matter?

Publishing is a collaborative process that involves hundreds of decisions. When questions arise or ideas need to be discussed, you can speak directly with the person who has the authority and experience to make those decisions. There are no layers of management, no waiting for someone to "check with the publisher," and no frustration from being passed from one department to another.

Direct communication means:

  • Faster answers and quicker decisions.

  • Personalized guidance throughout the publishing process.

  • Consistent communication with someone who knows your book from start to finish.

  • Greater flexibility when unique situations arise.

  • Confidence that your questions and concerns are being addressed by the person ultimately responsible for your project's success.

At many publishing companies, once an author signs an agreement, communication is handed off to different departments, and it can be difficult to speak with the person making the key decisions. At Barringer Publishing, we believe authors deserve better.

We view every publishing project as a partnership. Our authors are never just another file in a production queue. They have direct access to the publisher whenever they need guidance, advice, or simply want to discuss an idea.

That level of accessibility is uncommon in today's publishing industry—and it's one of the reasons so many of our authors choose to publish with us again and again.
